Call of duty 4 demo out today?!

I'am yet to try UT3. There are now too many good games upcoming, i can see us in a couple of years time advising people when bored of PC gaming to come sample stuff they missed during this mini-golden era

agreed the games coming out are so good that we may be comming to expect to much from games

I cant help but feel there is something missing in the lighting of the game, cant think of what it is but it seems a bit bright as you can see in the screenies in general!

At least with UT3 ;P we know the textures for the game will be getting even better since they only had it go to a certain detail level to keep the download size down

No doubt I will buy CoD4, loved the game, shrugged at the gfx!

Yeah, UT3 is ahead and CoD4 is a modified CoD2. Nothing wrong with that, but just looking at characters faces, etc you can tell.

I hope ATI can at least improve performance by about 10% with AA because everytime I turn it on the game just goes to crap.

Good to see they finally intoduced a proper physics engine unlike the older games. Ragdoll for the win.

Id choose the PC version, who knows when your 360 is gunna ring of death on you !

Personally I enjoyed it but found myself getting bored even before the demo was over and I really enjoyed the previous COD games. For me it feels to arcadey, you can be stood up and be a LONG way from the enemy and look down your sight and hold down fire and shoot them in the head, it's really simplistic.

I know what you mean, the 360 beta was a bit like that, don't know if IW listened though. The M4 is the MP44 of CoD4, no recoil and the most damage can be done. When people level high enough, expect that to be the weapon of choice.

COD4 compared to UT3 isnt a good comparison, COD4 is more tactics, and UT3 is well, just keep clicking your mouse and point at the bad guy.

Having played both the demo's i'd say COD4 is more satisfying.

my brother got the cod 4 demo for me last night on his pc (athlon 6400,4000 2gb pc 3200 ram and a 7900gt extreme vid card) played it on his rig and it was pretty average cant wait to try it on my own rig

Meh, just feels like CoD2, just modern day. Performance wasn't too bad on my 7800GT. I certainly don't think I'll be paying £30 for it though!
