Why do I hate apple?

Mac doesn't crash, pc doesn't crash
Mac limited software and choice, pc ultimate software and choice
Mac can't play games, pc plays games
Mac look great, standard pc's look crap, but if you build your own and spend some money on a case look great
Mac overpriced, pc priced well

Could probably go on for ever, I've used pc's and macs.
neither crash, both work well, ones overpriced and has limited software/games.

One is for spikey haired middle aged men that think they are artists.

The other is for the professional that knows his stuff. And just get on with it.

Because their company policy is based on style over substance, form over function.

More software choice based nowadays I think what with the latest systems using C2D, but was both hardware and software "back in the day".

If you like Apples, you must be going bananas!

My mum has one and I'm so tempted to throw it down the Apple and Pears... corr... she is a plum for getting one!

Overpriced.

Expensive perhaps, not overpriced.

I'll add that I think Mac's are infinitely better than PC's and I will never be going back unless Microsoft introduces something amazing. And since we've recently had Vista, that's going to be a loooong time.

I think the problem with many Mac v PC debates is that while nearly all the Mac users will have used Windows a lot, not many Windows users have used Mac's.

I'm still using a PC just to clarify, I'm not anti PC (except when mine goes wrong, which just so happens to be all the ******* time).

In the last two years of being at uni and using nothing but Macs and having no problems with them, also being in a house hold full of Macs that have had 0 problems whilst mine has been out of action for 3 months at one point has had to be re-formatted god knows how many times.

From my personal experiences I have made the choice to switch to Mac when I next upgrade (before the end of the year).

I think its more to do with the user than the hardware.

Every mac guy I met at university was a ****

In my final year i studied sound design and did the whole assisgnment on my home PC.

I got 92%

The few MAC guys at uni ( and i mean anti PC guys) had to eat humble PIE.

They seem to be in a world of their own.MAC world I call it.

Very odd and very sad.

BTW it was pro tools.

Pro tools for mac?
Pro tools for windows?

Give me a PC any day of the week

blame the operator, not the copc. Not even my parents have crashed xp, they had there install for 3 years. All I do is run some very basic maintance when ever I go visit them. One of tehm is updating a very out of date virus software.

any one who gets xp to crash can't use a computer or has something dodgy installed.

MAC users seem to have a odd sense of imperialism when in fact better things can be done on PC.

I just want apple users to get a grip TBH

I bought a Macbook, really tried to like it, but now it's just used for browsing the internet in front of the TV. I like the 2 finger stuff you can do on the mouse pad but apart from that it's nothing special, i've even bought a normal laptop which i use a LOT more than the Macbook even though it's only about half the spec.

To be honest there's not many people at uni who are "anti-PC" despite the majority being Mac users, I'm sure there are Mac Fan-boys just as there are PC Fan-boys but I don't know any of them.

I think it's a bit sad really.

RE: Acid Hell so you keep telling me. Please come and look at my computer and tell me exactly what I'm doing wrong because I swear it's been the same **** with three different copies of XP and I've got nothing dodgy installed. I've run countless hardware tests non of which throw up any issues... The time has come to give up on it. I will be installing Vista on my Mac when I buy it.

It's either hardware, software or drivers.
Motherboards are natorusly hard to diagnose and if you've ever had a psu blow, then that would lean towards a motherboard. Good old fault finding skills. Sometimes all you can do is find a 2nd computer and use parts untill you find the problem, if your sure it's not software or drivers.

AHEMMMM

MAC>PC ;)

I have the iMac listed below, it runs whatever programs I want; including any game I want.

Is more stable than Windows will EVER be.

iLife suite comes with the mac, with OSX...Make websites, edit and create movies, dvds, edit photos, front row, etc and etc...

You cant even play a dvd from a fresh XP install LOL...It might have the biggest available software out there, but you just dont get that 'out of the box' experience. ;)

What do windows people get from a fresh install? Nada...

Which is why I have a Razer Diamondback which has mac drivers... I'm still a gamer (which is why I'm getting Vista).

You're right but here's the thing; That's a hell of a lot of time and effort out of my day that could be used far more productively if I had a machine that just worked...

Hardware issue. Or are you saying Mac hardware never fails?
My PC's are rock stable. When I did use Mac's multi-tasking didn't work (G3) I was like "What the...." when applying filters in photoshop I couldn't browse directories or do something else.
