Hey guys,

MrSix was up our neck of the woods last weekend so we went out for some lunch and a quick drive up and down the A640, and my video camera came along for the ride :)

Unfortunately Cymatty had to leave before i had a chance to get my proper camera out so no pictures of his beast. This short video clip lets you see the exterior though:

Now for the proper videos, each are around 30mb each and about 5 minutes long or thereabouts:

Mondeo V6 going down the a640

Mondeo V6 going upthe a640

Celica GT4 going half way down and then back up the a640

Rover 420 Turbo coming up the a640

FYI in the video of the 420 where agw_01 says "Don't tom" I wasn't trying to overtake, i was just moving out so I could see over the wall :p

Hope you enjoy, don't feel too carsick.

Disclaimer: No children were killed in the production of these videos, and only one dodgy overtake took place (the Frontera in my downward voyage:p). The roads have AMAZING visibility and are generally just awesome :)

Yay! About bloody time! :p

Loving the ghetto cable ties holding my front splitter on :cool: I've actually just come back in from re-attaching it now.

Note to self... always reverse into parking spaces because curbs FTL :(

edit... I sound such a spaz on videos :(

Very nice, I especially like the comment about being called a child killer in the first mondeo video. (down the A630)

Also that rover sounds very nice indeed!

EDIT: So does the celica. what sort of power is that thing putting out?

Shame Adam didn't record the drive back down. It was much more entertaining than the drive up as I was really going for it.

On the run up I was being kind to the gearbox, not to mention I had an unsecured battery floating around in the boot (now bolted into place) and there was a gearbox in the boot smashing into the battery, heh.

Nice videos, and nice cars...the Celica certainly sounds a beats when it's booted. :D
Mondeo sounds decent too...for a mondeo :p
Rover is rumbly and cool :cool: like the fact it has no dump, but sounds like it. :D

What was the smoke at the end of your video? I couldn't quite make out what you were saying.

The gearbox has a leaky driveshaft seal, which means that all my lovely gearbox oil drips straight out onto the hot exhaust. I've already replaced the seal once but with the bearings in the differential being as knackered as they are, must push the driveshaft in and out creating a gap for the oil to escape.

Gotta say though, that was the worst I've ever seen it and was actually quite worried :eek:

It's going in the garage tomorrow for a gearbox swap and then I can get the Torsen box (currently fitted) rebuilt :)

week late? it's only a week today we met! remember it's not a 5 minute job when the footage has to be captured real time. factor in my pc dying and me having to build a new one, plus working a 40 hour week + having to keep my gf happy too I think that it's not a bad turn around :p
