New project

why ditch the zetec? 160bhp would be pretty easy to get out of one of these? or is it just weight?

edit, sorry for on of the worst constructed posts ever

The r1 engine i've piced up will make 160bhp with a dynojet kit and a free flow exhaust.

Plus it weighs 62kgs all told (about 100 less than a zetec and gearbox) and a nice sequential gearbox to go with my paddle shift :D

Wouldn't be a problem to get one in at all, wouldn't be cheap though.

My r1 lump cost me £500, throttle bodies and an ecu would be more than that, so bang for buck bike engines are great in light weight cars.

Plus once I get bored of the power I can always supercharge it :D

My engine in its cradle :D

Brake pipes

Rear pipes and new lsd to replace the open diff that was in before.
Converted the push in shafts to bolt on jobbies to fit the diff and painted the whole lot up :D

Now I just need to find someone with a welder to come weld in the brackets for the engine cradle lol

Ordered the rest of the bits to get it finished too. Just waiting on them being made, MK are quite busy atm.

Saw one of these car Cars in the Park last week with an R1 lump.
