I know quite a few of you guys are interested in Be* so this may be a cheaper alternative for some people.

http://broadband.o2.co.uk/

It's available from today. I've been using it for a month or so (as a beta tester) and I'm more than impressed.

Hello 02 own be*

Yes I know, maybe I wasn't being clear enough in my original post.

I meant it may be a cheaper alternative for O2 users here who were thinking of getting Be* broadband - same network but possibly better prices if you have an O2 postpay phone. Either way, I'm really happy with it so thought I'd recommend it.

Looks like excellent value for money for there pay monthly customers. Wonder how there servers will cope in a cupple of months time when more users are on board.

It has a FUP though

There is no limit on the monthly network usage. However if we feel that your activities are so excessive that other customers are detrimentally affected, we may give you a written warning (by email or otherwise). In extreme circumstances, if the levels of activity do not immediately decrease after the warning, we may terminate or suspend your Services

Small point, but one I've seen this loads lately on these forums - it's O2, not 02.

Edit: Can't really see how you can go wrong with a 100 day money back guarantee either.

Doesn't every provider?

why can't they have a clearly defined limit and provide users the facility to watch what they are doing via a webportal? that is what all isps should do. why offer an "unlimited" service with an FUP. it's a contradiction in terms surely?

i'd never expect truly unlimited broadband for this kind of money. i know the isp can't supply it and make a profit. but why do they insist on using this terminology in their advertising?

hmm

so theres nothing stopping me from getting 3 months free broadband?

signing up then cancelling on the 99th day?

If you then leave to go to another provider you will have to pay a reactivation fee unless the migrating in ISP pays it.

Nuts, my exchange hasn't been migrated over and Be said it'd be December. Can't wait to give VM the finger for DSL, c'mon already - best Christmas present in the making. Hehe.
