5 HD-DVD with Xbox HD-DVD drive

If the films were better, i'd be half tempted to buy another HD-DVD drive.

I hope they're quicker sending them out than the 120GB > 20GB transfer cables, or you'll be lucky to get them this side of Christmas.

Whats to stop me buying one from a store copying the barcode number down from the outside of the box then returning it?

Better still just writing the code down in the shop.

Bit stupid

DAMMIT, I can't find my receipt!! Typical, I saved it just in case this happened. Do you think they'd accept a bank statement as proof? :(

EDIT: I also threw away the box on Friday . Typical.

Early adopters ripped off yet again  If it wasn't for people buying new technology at the start, it would never take off. Why not give 5 free HD DVDs to anybody that bought their player at the beginning of the year?

Me, bitter, never :D

If you were happy to pay what you paid when you paid it, you were not ripped off.

If you were not happy to pay what you paid when you paid it, then you shouldnt have bought one.

You can get a standalone HD-DVD proper player with all the bells and whistles and 7 free HD-DVD's for about £200 come november.

god damn it :(

pre-ordered one before they were released from a popular high street game shop's webby. they then tried to take the money from my account a week before it was released and because I wasnt getting paid till the next dy or so, my order was cancelled and given away to someone else. I then went and bought one off egay....minus a recipt :(

They may be shoddy films but i'm all up for gettin free stuff :D

EDIT: nevermind, i just read that its only valid for people who bought one after 10th Jan 07.....god damn it again! :(

Your sig is too large, i was trying to be smart link it to the rake of a 'woman' you have in your sig but it just didnt work out :(

Its kinda retarded that they will not offer this deal to everyone as its not like the dvds are boxed with the unit, guess theyre just trying to screw as many out of the offer as possible

Im guessing they wont accept a bank statement as you cant link the purchase to your hddvd player(even though the price would match i doubt its enough) unless it comes with some kind of description but even then i doubt you would get away with it

Ya was reading in the paper this weekend that HD-DVD players are going to be a lot cheaper now as they finally realise they're losing the war with Blu-ray.

Far from it. Many circles are almost ready to call the battle over with HD-DVD the winner.

It is a good deal and I'll be grabbing one soon.

Slightly Off topic, but who is calling the battle over with HD-DVD as the winner when like-for-like Blu Ray disks (not players) are outselling HD-DVD at least 2:1?

On Topic: I would buy this bundle if I could have Heroes on HD-DVD as the freebie :D

Who cares DVD is still pounding them both and will for years. By the time DVDs dead there will be yet another format.

There wont be a winner this time as the average joe doesnt care about HD formats. They are the people buying dvd's. Most tech people who bang on about the format wars probably dont buy dvds either.

They use other methods.
