Wassup everyone, Just was curious what you all do for a living becuase im at that point where i dont know what to do for a career. I was thinking of choosing a police career but im not sure! My dream my aim is to be rich lol but dont know what to go into... Was wondering what you people do to maybe give me a few ideas? Been working with family since the age of 16 for nearly 5 years but no longer work there. you cant work with family too much headache.

i'm trying to figure out what i want to do for a career aswell atm, i'll def go down the ict/technology route, but that's pretty broad and can't seem to decide what exact job i'd like to go into

I work in Customer Services handling major accounts for a courier. In the future I would either like to move towards a central CS Manager role or possibly a big diversion into Operations management which would be depot based.

I do **** all :p

Police would be good, it's something I'd certainly think about if I weren't at uni.

I'm a web designer at the moment. I love the job but the pay isn't great. So i'm always on the look out for a similar position for greater pay or a similar job leaning towards web development - although proper programming bores my face off and I'd rather not sacrifice job satisfaction for money. :)

Administrative Assistant Apprentice

Im basically training to do admin tasks like Word/Excel/Access/Project, i already know them for college but im applying them in real work and my boss(s) are very pleased and want to take me further, its not great pay at start but as i develop i will get on to Grade 5 type jobs which is what im aiming for, i will most likely get bored after a few years which is why im retaking my maths so i can get into teacher training.

I tell pilots what to do :D

Have a look at www.natscareers.co.uk
Plenty of my colleagues were in the same position as you and thought they might as well give it a shot. :) It's a very rewarding career with excellent prospects, perks and of course, money!

it consultancy

The same. The consultancy route is a way of trying various different roles within IT while attempting to establish where you want to go. For instance I am heading down the PM / TA path, but I will dabble in coding/BA work along the way.

im into me computers i love it but i just dont see IT as a good career anymore... to much Competition/people involved in it. I think IT career is heading downhill what do you think?

I might not be the best person to take advice from but meh if you want to do it then go for it! Competition is only a bad thing if you're not good enough/committed enough.

If you've got your heart set on it and you show true enthusiasm you'll stand out a lot from most people.

I think it depends how hard you push yourself really. The route I recommend is Uni > Placement at bluechip > work really hard in order to get a graduate job > do final year > job.

That's what I am currently going through.
