Pro Evo Or Fifa?

Yes. i have tried the new fifa demo, i would still choose to play Pro Evo 6 on my PC or PS2 over it.

as long as PES08 isnt worse than PES6 then it will ultimately reign supreme!

I don't think there is any risk of it being worse. You needn't worry.

So they claim what? That they now prefer Fifa... well, yes... they've just said that...

Or are you actually trying to claim that they never were 'PES fanboys' because, God forbid they should pull their head out their ass, open their eyes and have an opinion game for game every year and not let the blind lead the blind?

Well to me anyone who says I was a Pro Evo fanboy but prefer Fifa now is just having a laugh, why would anyone need to justify liking Fifa by declaring they used to love Pro Evo, makes no sense to me.

Can you just accept my opinion now, you are not going to change it no matter how hard you try :)

I'm not trying to change your opinion, but it's more that you won't accept other peoples, your first paragraph pretty much sums that up.

The most fun I've ever had on a football game is Pro Evolution Soccer 2, then PES4, however I do prefer Fifa 08 over PES6 and the demo of PES2008. I do enjoy the fast paced game with friends on PES which is why I will still buy it. I don't ever limit myself to one brand or series, I like keeping my options over.

Can you not accept our opinion that we used to love Pro Evo and now love the new FIFA better than the old Pro Evo?

I can accept you don't like Pro Evo, as I already said I think we all know that by now, why do you need to keep reinforcing that opinion on anyone who does not share it though? I can bet if I was in the Fifa thread every day slating it for this and that then the cry's of troll would soon be shouted from the rooftops.

Demo of 2008 is not how the final game is, so maybe it's probably better to hold your opinion on the game until you actually play it? As I already prefer the demo to Fifa then I am sure it won't change once the final game is in my machine :)

He does like Pro Evo though, surely thats extremely evident. Actually reading your reponse to his reply seems like you never even took the trouble to read what he said.

I'll say this one last time.
I... Do... Like... Pro... Evolution... Soccer!
I just think Fifa 08 is the better of the 2 games. Jesus, how hard is that to understand?

Must be very hard because you can't seem to grasp I am the opposite :)

But still I wonder how you can like it? Shambolic online, no real physics, poor old game engine, smashed up you 6 DVD cause it was so rubbish, so what do you like about it?

I didn't like PES6 online. I enjoyed playing it with friends and single player.
I said it's a 'limited' game engine which, when compared to Fifa now is quite poor. It's arcadey though and good for a laugh with friends.

The arguments in this thread from the Fifa side are mostly well constructed and its very disappointing to see such drivel from some of you PES guys.

So no I wont accept poorly formed closed minded opinions that include wild statements pulled from your ass.

Thought the AI was pathetic in single player and so scripted, so if you enjoyed it what made you smash the disk up?

do you really think it is?

in PES for example, i feel that i have control over the player i have selected, i.e when i hold and press pass he will release the pass, or if on his wrong foot he may stumble and then pass, or screw his pass up etc, i feel intune and that his reaction will be "right" for the instruction i provide.

FIFA feels like its a bit more slow and sluggish with the controls and that things wont happen until after i have pressed, and that the finishing isnt as sharply honed as it is on PES..

the new "lob" in PES6 is terrible however. And AI player movements on your own team are also poor.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the sluggishness is just an initial thing the game feels miles away from slow to me now I have had time with it. If a player feels sluggish now its because he is a lower league player with less skill than someone in the top flight. Fifa excels at individual player traits/feel.

I get 'the rage' very easily.
I broke a football manager 2006 too, yet that's my most played game. I had to buy another one (from KennyBhoy infact).

If I'm being honest, I did feel much the same way originally. I felt Fifa lacked a responsiveness, but once I got used to the techniques etc.. it definitely sped up and I understood it a lot more. You pass a lot quicker when holding LB for example (and more precisely). After lots of practice it just comes together really well.

Not really, the AI on legendary makes all teams the same, there is no difference to playing Barcelona as there is playing Runcorn, they perform the same, seems like your the one pulling things from your ass.

I'd agree with that. Someone like C. Ronaldo and Kaka have the ability to single handedly destroy teams when you understand the system, utilising movement, passing and tricks. I had a game yesterday where everything came off and I destroyed a guy who played as Liverpool, with Ronaldo.
I'd definitely rate Fifa highly in regards to the levels of how different players feel so different to others.

Cambiasso is totally different from Gatusso for example, despite both being DMC players, Messi and Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Henry, all completely different, but in good ways.
If you look at the players stats you get individual traits such as vision etc.. and you can really tell when using them. I also love how players ratings raise/lower depending on where they are played. Clicking RS shows you their preferred positions (and it really is individual to the player and can be quite specific about it - more so than FM for example), and affecting these, or your captain can all have an effect on your teams chemistry. It's great for that.

From someone that trolls most threads and hated the demo of fifa practically before it hit his hard drive I think your opinion can be discounted thanks. Utter fanboy tosh.

*Mr Men that is ofc not Nokkon*
