I am heading down to Birmingham for the weekend. Need to leave the car somewhere all day saturday and over night. Staying at the Jurys inn hotel on Broad street so somewhere near there would be excellant. Idea on the price for parking also would be handy.

I will just say Goodluck. Drove there once, caught the train the 6-7 times after that. Birmingham is MURDER for car drivers and parking unless you know the area. BTW there are no PUBS near the bullring's to my knowlage (Not that I found anyway)

You can park in the Mailbox car park, which is just at the back of Broad street, but as someone said, brum is a bugger to drive around if you don't know the place well. There ARE car parks all over the place, but I imagine the prices are ridiculous.

Doesn't the jury's have a customer car park?

The Bullring has a couple of cafe's in the middle that probably sell booze. Del'Villagio springs to mind. You can also get all manner of expensive drinks in Selfridges, if you want to drink in a dept store with people pushing past you all the time. broad Street is the drinking part of brum, but I'd head for the Chinese Quarter and a place called the Arcadian. Lots of bars there and it's much nicer than Broad Street.

Just out of the Bullring on New Street there's a hotel with a bar in the basement called Bacchus, which is really gothic inside and quite smart - but will be packed from about lunchtime today!

Have fun. It's a good place to go if you know where you're going.

I only ever use the carpark at the Mailbox, but it's on par with London carpark prices so be prepared to hand over a small fortune if you're parking over night. I think theres secure parking at Brindley place off Broad Street, but I've not used it. :)

Make sure you either get there early in the morning or late on Saturday afternoon otherwise it will be murder trying to find a space as most will have filled up and rest become one in one out.

Also the traffic in the middle of the day is a nightmare. So good luck

Jury's has a car park at the back, very small though. No ideas on pricing.

Mailbox as said above, or Brindley Place car park over the road.

Also the Cinema and Casino at the top of Broad st both have multi storeys.

All are 5 minute walks away.

Yeah, did you ask how much? because it was not free when I stayed there, it may be cheaper to park in a multi-storey.

I can actually see the Jury's from where im sitting :p

The one at the cineworld cinema on Broadstreet is very cheap...about a fiver for all day I think - plus, when you buy a cinema ticket, you can get up to £1.85 refund from your parking too.

So, give them an extra £7.50 to get £1.85 back?

no, if its the AMC cinema yoii get three hours parking free if you have a cinema ticket.

basically its for those that want to see a film being able to get free parking.
the virgin active gym has the same thing

You can park at the Arcadian (Most sucure carpark in the city centre) and then walk down through the mailbox and along the canal to broadstreet.

10 mins tops

I have a spare space in secure underground parking at the southside aparments if you would like to use it - I'm pretty sure the guy im allowing to use it has gone to thailand though I'd have to check.

I concur - Hagley road where I live is bad enough. Getting over 5 ways onto broadstreet is a mission unto itself from most directions, I would advise the OP to use the queensways as opposed to the ring road (obvious choice if you go M6 J6 onto the A38), follow the a38 off the m6 - stay in middle lane, the a38 turns into a 2 lane thing that elevates itself over a main road. as your coming down off this into the tunnel move into the left hand lane so you can exit the tunnel and make an immediate lane change left. Broadstreet is will be second exit for you from the round about following your exit from the queensway I believe.

We went to Brum last week and scoured the internet for a Park & Ride. Absolutely bog all! I was really quite shocked, considering most cities have these nowadays. Ended up paying about £11 at one of the NCP's. Ripped off tbh!

there are loads of places to park you just need to know where ;)

e.g. a cheap place (free) is outside the science museum, no lines or payment required :)

maybe 10 minute walk to bullring if your taking your time as well :)
