Obviously but that's not the question or point is it? You need money to live and pay bills as I've already said but that is not the same as moey buying hapiness. Excuse tyos, feeding the baby again and typing one handed. Off to bed when he's done so will read this again tomorrow.

Also think about third world countries. Money there is practically non-existent and are they happy? If you gave this child £50 would he be happy?

Why do you keep bringing 'true happiness' into this? The phrase was 'money cannot buy happiness'. The phrase is wrong. If you are happy after buying something for just 40 seconds, it's still happiness which was bought with money, thus, money can buy happiness.

Otherwise why do you bother buying stuff AcidHell? Why do you have an LCD TV in your room? Whats the point, I mean, it doesnt make you happy, why not just spend less and have a crappy CRT?

Why did you buy that Dodge on your drive if it hasn't brought you any happiness?

I'm only using to show a difference. As I've said all a long money can buy moments of happiness. Nothing more. It can't make you happy for the rest of your life, if your unhappy with who or what you are.

I don't have an LCD tv. I want one to save space. So I can use my bedroom in a better way :p.

Made a blog recently, and I thought I'd share it with you.

What's it about? Well I dunno - mad idea that has made itself into a blog!

I'm seeking rich people (like spie ;)) to lend me their high life!

Top goals would to be let a top apartment or given a sports car, but you have to accept whatever is given don't you...

Think I'm suffering from an identity problem, not happy etc. Seeking ways to get out of that rut.

So I here by call upon you ocuk'ers to give a helping hand...Got any free tickets to shows, theme parks, whatever to help me get out of my house and see the world!!!!!!!! (well, England anyway)

No chance you'd lend me your 911 is there Spie? Sure it would help boost my self esteem no end ;)

:p
What a load of pretentious self-absorbed rubbish :s

What do you mean by 'true' happiness? It is happiness and he would be the most grateful person on the planet if you gave him even a tiny amount of money.

But by the same token, if you have no money in life with which to live on, then you're never going to be happy either.

plenty of people with no money who are happy. take the few tribes left which don't have a concept of money.
It's only are surroundings that mean we need money.

Long lasting happiness. I think where just arguing over crossed wires :)

If you gave his family £50,000 and the means to spend it, damn right they'd be happy.

Would they? They would be able to eat and live in a home but would they enjoy it, would they think its right to be living that way while friends reletaive die of starvation back home.

Money can buy happiness but it cannot magically make your brain change the way you think, I would say most people who win the lottery or become famous with wealth are more insecure than someone with £1000 in there bank.

Acidhell, if I won the lottery and decided to donate you enough money to take unpaid leave from work without losing your job, and buy everything you need and dedicate your time to compeltely restoring your charger, it would not give you any additional happiness over the level you have now?

Yeah, I think they'd prefer it to picking rice off the floor. I always wonder where the rice comes from in the first place though

Of course it would, I haven't said that it wouldn't. All I've said is that money does not bring lasting happiness.
You have to be happy already in yourself.
