Best Game Pre-Crysis?

what would people recommend for me to buy?

i have played on crysis for a while on the beta and a bored now, graphics are amazing but yes bored of 1 level.

played on medieval total war kingdoms and bf2142 and bioshock (possibly the most boring game and repetative ever) and well they have been abused enough.

so what do people reccomend?

i have played cod4, world in combat, UT3 and all don't live up graphics wise

i know i am probally to fussy ! but any ideas please?

Game genre? I cant stop playing TF2 atm so thats my vote, Orange Box from steam, hours of fun for 25quid.

played the new fear demo and not impressed, graphics just arent there, will try tf2 if it s good of hl2?

BioShock? Dunno what you meant there but TF2 (Orange Box) includes HL2/HLEp1/HLEp2/Portal.

I would have recommended Bioshock, but as you see it as not very good (I honestly can't understand why) then I wouldn't know where to start.

I played the bf2 demo level for 3 months and didnt get sick of it (extreme I know), kind of shows up crysis unfortunately but hopefully the mods will be good

If all you care about are graphics then you'll probably keep getting bored quite quickly. Play something with a bit of depth....Civ IV...Supreme Commander...CoH.

Seen as all you seem to be after is graphics I don't get why you didn't like Bioshock! No other games currently compare to it.

You could try TF2 and ETQW, both of which have nice graphics. They couldn't be more different either!

Games are not all about their graphics, which is why you are probably getting bored

Bioshock, its a great game once you get into it and should tide you over for the mean time.

Can't understand why you think it's boring and repetative. There's loads of variety throughout the game. :confused:

In fact, since playing Bioshock, I've been let down by every other game and I'm struggling to find anything to play while I await COD4 & Crysis.

p.s. other than keep playing Bioshock over and over

I liked bioshock until i found out dieing didn't matter i would die with 9 lives and no health and come out of the tube with 9 lives and about 20% health ruined the game for me.
It was so easy aswell, more fool me for buying into the hype.

yeah, sure nice graphics are a bonus, but look at TF2, it has a nice graphic style, something different, its not the most detailed game or anything, but the gameplay is so fun it doesnt matter, thats what counts.
