I bought a few of these to try and clean out my old computers, but I found sometimes they spit out liquid which have me a bit worried. I thought maybe it was because of the angle of how I was using the can but even upright it spits out stuff now and then.

Would the liquid damage the components? I use it outside and it seems to evaporate pretty quickly. It's only old equipment but I'd like to keep them functional at least :)

yeah use short bursts when you use it long times nozzles gets really cold and lil condestion may forminside which get sblasted out. in tiny specs. i allways make sure ma pc is off before using the cans.

Think shaking well also helps to stop but. But it is because of hte condensation i beleive.

Where can i get these from? I cant find them anywhere local any more.

You just have to keep them upright, otherwise you'll be basically spraying ice onto your components.
Used to work years ago in the crappy purple shirt computer shop. Worked with a guy who would spray the can upside down into his mouth.... it changed his voice like helium does. But can't remember if his voice got deeper or higher, think it was deeper..... the rest of us though he was an idiot to be honest.

Well its only compressed air isn't it? But still... i wouldn't do it.

What a total idiot. He could give himself frostbite (yes CO2 can freeze), or caused Asphyxiation (unlikely but still possible). CO2 is not safe in such a condensed form when inhaled. It won't do permanent damage (as a gas), but it's still dangerous if misused.

Incidently, you can use those CO2 sprays upside down to remove large dents in cars :D

The liquid stuff is jsut air which is compressed so much it turnsto liquid. Though it probably has some chemical to reduce the freezing point so it turns to water at a higher temperature.

Its CO2 is it?

He probably thought he was brilliant :p

I burnt my name into my arm using the stuff, it all blistered next day. Was only a red mark after I did it :p
