Whos ditching 8800 for new rev?

A downgrade would be a good idea if;

A. You want the extra cash from selling the GTX

B. You still want a decent clockable card

C. Maybe the GTX is too much for you and you just want a more subdued card?

I think if you fit into these groups a downgrade to the GT would not be a bad thing at all.

Personally im ok for cash just about so I won't need to downgrade to the GT just yet

I know what I should have done now, stuck with the Hiper Type-R, got an 8800GTX, then E6400 + GA-P35C-DS3R and some Geil ram, would be roling then!

Quickly sell the 2900 now and get a GT next week. Thast would seem like a good idea to me

Im talking about the people who have bought a GTX they may have realised the card is more than their actual needs so selling up and downgrading to the GT would be a good idea since your still getting a decent card that is perhaps more suited to their needs. What's hard to understand about this?

Early benchmarks and 3D Marks show it to be beating a 2900 I think. But seriously wait for some benchmarks and It may be more worthwhile than you first thought

When the 8800GT is released it will be worth more than me 2900XT tho? I still plan on a 150-170 quid sale.

Its likely to decrease performance as regards to the whole system, there are lots of DDr2 at 1066Mhz with more agressive timing. I'm not sure how this effects a graphics bench mark though.
