I can put £35 in the tank without it leaking, but get it at a certain angle with that much fuel in and it'll drip from the seam.

It's a pinhole leak where the two sections of the tank are welded together.

I was hoping you'd say something like the above though because it makes me laugh so much that you think I should scrap a perfectly fine running car in good condition just because of a leaky petrol tank

I've already sourced a brand new tank for £35.

well, the same station i was at in the early hours was doing this so I put some in, they had a bunch of people wearing 'v-power team' vests telling me all about how it was "like super unleaded".

We have two Shell stations in Sheffield, one isn't doing the offer.....the other is, all signs up, even some V-Power balloons etc....sadly the station is closed, no bugger around at all!!

GRRR just drove all the way to my local shell and it wasnt the same price at all! £1.02 it cost me, same as normal and the guys behind the counter looked at me like i was weird when i said "it's meant to be the same bloody price today :|"

well I beat you all as I went to Dad's work today and he had just drained 8 cars worth of fuel, most of them had full tanks so he brimmed it (was on the light) so that's £60 worth of fuel for sweet FA a thankyou

and he's put 10 more gallons aside for me for when I burn this stuff :cool:
