I thought the same until my friend bought one. I think they're lovely now, really grown on me. Have you ever had them in at work and had a poke about, if not I would just have a look at one at least.
What about a Z4 and change?
I would probably take a Z4 over a Boxster tbh. I think they're cracking cars. I would have a look at a 350Z though just before parting with cash on a Z4.
I've driven loads of 2.7s at work, I used a 3.2 daily for a week.
Nice fast smooth cars, but if I was going to buy a Porsche I'll be buying a 911.
I could get a 2001/2002 trade for about £25k

NSX +1.
The only problem is it's a Honda. An expensive one. You could buy a similar age Ferrari for the same money, but running costs may be cheaper for the NSX.
