Metal Gear Solid PS3 Backward Compatibility

Hi.

Can anyone say for sure how well these do when played on a PS3?

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence

I've checked the BC list on the EU Sony site but I don't trust it, anyone got their own experiences?

Silent Hill 1 will as it's a PS1 game, not sure about 2, best to check the list.

Don't forget you have to select the 60gb version (as that's the one that now uses software emulation)

Indeed (although that is the default when you visit the page so I neglected to mention it).

Gotcha.....Well not really, I ****** up, it's the 80gb version you have to select (which isn't the default).

Have only had a quick look, seems pretty rare and pricey for a PS2 game, your looking at £25-£30 on the bay.

Cost me £28 a couple of months back so I'd say £25-£30 is a decent price. It is worth holding out for Subsistence though rather than MGS3 because of the new camera view.
