what would you call a perfect English fry up?

Richmond Sausages
Thick sliced Bacon
Eggs
Mushrooms
(all fried, it's called a fryup for a reason)

Tinned Tomato with pepper and sugar
Bread and butter to soak up the tomato/egg yolk

Optional extras:
black pudding
white pudding
beans (HP, branston or heinz)

4 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 1 tomato (not plum, that's too posh), 2 black pudding, 2 fried bread, 2 hashbrown, several large mushrooms (not the ponsy button type).

HAS to be served on a platter and not a plate, and MUST come with toast and a MUG of tea or coffee.

Sauces MUST be within arms length, table cloth MUST be a red and white checkered style.

Toast
Bacon.
Sausage.
Egg
Hash Browns
Black Pudding
Fried Mushrooms
Beans

Hot mug of coffee :D

Nothing beats french toast though tbh

he vistited the doctor and it turned out he had diabetes and has to inject insulin before every meal

This was found in Scotland (Dunbar if memory serves...) by mattpc, me and the wimmin. A cunning breakfast indeed with the added benefit of the seperate beans, meaning you only get beans where you want to have them - genius!!! Greasy spoons rock.

Oh, a PINT mug of tea is required I think you'll all find though obviously not in Scotland :(.

If it's planned:

Bacon
Fried Eggs
Fried Bread
Sausages
Black Pudding
HP Fruity Sauce
1L of strong sugary tea.

If not:

Bacon
Fried Bread/toast
Fried Eggs
Tomato Sauce
1 mug of tea

I think this thread has forced me to go to the Gorseinon market cafe tomorrow for a nice fry-up. Yum yum bubble gum.

In Swindon, there is a lay-by near the Honda factory, there used to be an old bus that would part up there most mornings and serve full breakfasts to passing lorry drivers. They where the best I ever tasted:

Eggs
Bacon
Fried Bread
Beans
Sausage

And a hot cup of tea

Not sure if its still there, don't get out that way any more.

That just reminds me of Alan Partridge:

"Just use a sausage as a breakwater!"

That just reminds me of Alan Partridge:

me too lol

eggs 10 on 10 bacon 10 on 10 beans 10 on 10 All in all ...10 on 10 minor critisicms: beans to close to the egg. I might want to mix them, but i want it to be my choice. Also ..sausage should be used as a breakwater for the beans.
