But can only afford one of them

I.e. 8800 OR B&W Speakers......

I'd probably go with the speakers, they'll last longer and I've not been playing all that many games recently but it does rather depend what you are starting from.

whats more inportant to you, music or gaming ?, also like others have said what would they be replacing ?, and also what spec PC do you have to go with the 8800 and what amp do you have to go with the B&W's ?,

if it was me I'd go for the speakers, I would love a pair of those series 2 603's, I have a pair of the series 2 602's atm, really nice but sometimes lacking a little in the bass department so I imagine the 603's would be perfect for the price.

At the moment i have 7800 GS in SLI with a AMD 5200+ ( clocked at 2.9 ) 2 gig of ram and a 19" LCD.

Music is a Teleton 500 ( about 26 years old, and still killing speakers )
With some hand build 3 foot speakers with a bass/midspeaker + tweater ( not sure on the make, but there good sounding )

I'm leaning more towards the speakers at this time, as i've not played games for a while.
Plus you can show off the speakers more than the graphics card..
