My Ratchet and Clank arrived today from the States, earlier than expected, anyone else got theirs today? Just updated my firmware, its on the disk, and installed no issues with it not working.
 
Is that the firmware to access the XMB in-game?
If so, how does it work? Are you able to message (both read and write) in-game?

How is it?

Nah sorry mate its to enable rumble ( which ill have in a couple of weeks yay) i dont think much else is added, havent checked exactly what else though to busy playing lol. The first level is the same as the demo but you dont have the groovitron or the transmogrifer.

Edit: Can you get a mod to change the title to be official discussion thread or something?
 
Just got around to playing the demo and bar a few graphical glitches and very by the number gameplay I really enjoyed it so will be looking out for it on the MM :)
 
Really enjoyed the demo will definitely be buying this.

Best looking game I've seen so far on any platform so far, kinda the thing you expected from PS2 when Sony were talking of "Toy Story" graphics.

Shame it's not true 1080P but still higher res than most 'HD' games out there and more importantly a solid 60fps.
 
No spoilers please guys, but hows people doing with the full game? Im loving it its fantastic ! Anyone checked out the skins bit? Im sure theres a reference to the 360 there, a robot called zephyr thats prone to system failure and something about its warranty expiring a long time ago lol.

It is pretty but nothing more special than the 360 games imo.
 
For me, nothing other than Gears has impressed me as much visually on the 360. Although it's not an entirely fair comparison as there's hasn't really been a true next gen platformer on the 360 afaik.
 
I own both PS3 and 360 and i would say that while Ratchcet & Clank looks very nice it really doesn't look any better than say Kameo and certainly not as good as Gears of War.

I will pass on this game simply because i'm not a fan of cutesy platformers. The games i bought my PS3 for are GT5, Wipeout, MGS etc. until then its a really good DVD and Motostorm player :)

Slightly OT and contrerversial. I just played the Crysis demo @ 1680 x 1050 all settings on high and imo Gears of war looked better. I really don't think the PS3 is capable of graphics better than the 360.
