you should be able to add in smt like -intro or something to the command line in the properties of the program when you click on it to start it up.

that will miss out the various intros and get you straight to the menu

i think! i'm just guessing.
 
It is a good game, I'm finding it quite difficult though, so many quests in log. Hard trying to make sense of it all.
Maybe I'm just an idiot :)

I just got to that bit myself, luckily I didn't see this thread first.

Going to stop reading this thread altogether now until we get a spoiler warning in the title I think and a seperate thread opening, that's the flaw with the sickeningly crap "official" threads.

Finally I have fixed the vsync (or lack of) for people with ATI and Vista...

You need to use ATITools and create a profile specifically for The Witcher... I have no more tearing in this game which was making me feel queezy :(
 
I am at the quest "Earning the villagers trust" they ask me... did the reverend send you....

I say yea and am meant to show them a ring..... I have 3 rings I tried every single ring I have and they just make a silly comment like "take it back"

what am I doing wrong? which ring am i meant to use?:confused:

ehh? the reverend gives you a ring to show to earn trust. Least thats what he did with me.

I also got an eternal fire ring from an old lady because i gave her a potion to help her dying son. (both rings looked exactly the same btw)
 
Hmm, the antialiasing slider is greyed out in the graphics options. Anyone else getting this?

And how do I take screenshots? PrintScrn doesn't seem to do it, or if it does, it's hiding them somewhere :)

Thoroughly deserving of its 18 rating and not just because of the sex, violence and language. To stay on top of this great game or to enjoy it as intended, you need to pay attention and think before committing yourself. A far better game than the sum of its parts.
