can anyone good at maths tell me an easy way to do this sum.
If ive got a price of £3000 inc vat for example
Whats the way to calculate the amount excluding vat?
TIA
Vat = 17.5%
3000 inc vat is equal to 100%
100% minus 17.5% = 82.5%
Therefore, (3000/100)x82.5 = £2475 ex. vat
Vat = 17.5%
3000 inc vat is equal to 100%
100% minus 17.5% = 82.5%
Therefore, (3000/100)x82.5 = £2475 ex. vat
Vat = 17.5%
3000 inc vat is equal to 100%
100% minus 17.5% = 82.5%
Therefore, (3000/100)x82.5 = £2475 ex. vat
Vat = 17.5%
3000 inc vat is equal to 100%
100% minus 17.5% = 82.5%
Therefore, (3000/100)x82.5 = £2475 ex. vat
just divide by 1.175
Thats wrong mate, the £3000 is equal to 117.5%, not 100%
What school did you go to?
Why not just say (3000 / 100) x 17.5?1% = 30
30 x 17.5 = VAT
1% = 30
30 x 17.5 = VAT
