Leading on from my other thread about changing jobs, i'm actually losing the will to live, i need to get out of this job, now.

What is the easiest way to get out of a job? I don't want to be fired and apparantly i have to give 4 weeks notice, but i think i will die if i stay here that long.

Help lol

Sounds like they're fobbing you off. I would imagine you're entitled to your holiday whenever.

I would do some research if I was you.

Ask boss if you have to serve your notice.
Some will say you dont if your rally unhappy.

If he says you do, hand in notice then do hardly any work. It's not GMC and so you can't get sacked. If you can distract other people even better.

That way they offer you 2 weeks full pay a good reference, if you allow yourself to get escorted of the premisses :D. Oh yeh baby..

I could well be in this position too soon, I'm both vital but also possibly in a position that I could abuse if I were leaving. No idea how my boss will handle it.

I'll be making sure I take any leave I'm due, only a few days but they're mine and would reduce the 4 weeks notice period a little.

Talk to your soon to be ex-boss, do it calmly but explain that you're extremely unhappy, unmotivated and don't mind passing up on the wages if that's the issue.

Personally I think you should work it, I won't walk out on my job even though I hate the commute and the environment I work in.
