Decent Xbox 360 multiplayer games

Hi,

Just a quick question which at various points has prolly been answered in other threads at one point or another but I couldn't find a thread dedicated to it, so here goes.

Having a little bash tomorrow, getting some friends round, fews beers and the like and was after a couple fun multiplayer games for us.

Currently have:

Halo 3
Fight Night Round 3
Gears of War
PES 6 + 2008
Forza 2

I've heard GRAW2 is good, PGR4 is also an maybe. But I must be missing some real cracking multiplayer games from my list so any help is muchly appreciated.

Ok this is slightly OT but I found the online multiplayer with Fight Night Round 3 ridiculous. If I got put on the right hand side of the screen I would always lose simply because I'm not used to playing on that side, I don't understand why both players can see from the perspective where their characters are on the left hand side of the screen.
 
With Halo 3 you shouldn't really need anything else.

It really does take the multiplayer biscuit.
 
I know its not out yet, but i played the COD 4 MP beta, and IMO, i think that is waaaaaaaaaay better then Halo 3's MP.

When it comes out you must get it mate! :D
 
Yip I agree, was in the Beta to. CoD 4 on the 360 is fun but it aint PC. :)

Forza 2 is like nothing I have ever done before online it was very immersive and real. I got the official wheel and pedals, class is all i can say about it.
 
Yeah i loved BF2 on the 360.

But yeah Forza is what i mostly play on Live.
Can play it for hours if you get on a game with some good people.

Naaa, there are only so many times you can shoot an entire clip at someone, not kill them, then run at them and hit them in the face before you die of boredom.

agreed. CoD4 mp is really good. Not long now to release :)

OP already got the best mp game for now. Gears of War
 
I'm confused ;) If the original poster has his mates coming round for beers etc, then surely he wants games that are offline multiplayer(?)

Earth Defense Force 2017
Rainbow Six: Vegas

Thanks for the suggestions, will be offline games mostly because I'm the only person with a live account.

Tempted by BF2, would also like to get Orange box to see what that's like multiplayer but as I bought it for the PC I'm bit reluctant to spend another £40 on it.

Also having a rethink on the racing games, I'm not sure they are everyone’s cup of tea that's coming which is a shame. Think I'll still get PGR4 for myself though :D

Aye. PGR3/4 split screen is quite a laugh and pretty accessible to those that haven't played it before. Definately recommended.

As it's mates and split screen have you thought about picking up some fighting action; DOA4 or VF5 would keep everyone happy. When friends are over I always find it best to get good games that are made for 2 people to go head to head.

Also you could try a few arcade games. Speedball 2, Boom Boom Rocket, Puzzle Fighter HD :)

Also maybe a 4 player round of gold? Tiger Woods?
