Splinter Cell: Conviction

Looks awesome, just saw the gameplay trailer on live and it doesnt look like it should be Splinter Cell at all... gameplay looks insanely different, but I quite like it. Should be good.

Whats your views on it?

Ubisoft have probably just ruined one of the best stealth franchise ever

I think it looks fantastic. I wasn't sure at first and I think it's brave of Ubisoft but sometimes you need to do something new with a fanchise to keep it fresh. I'm quite intrigued and you can tell they're borrowing some ideas from Assassins Creed (crowd control / blending in); I might not have bothered with another samey Splinter Cell game but this has me more than intrigued.

Is this still coming out in 12 days or has it been delayed?

There isn't much in terms of gameplay videos etc. But it looks interesting.

I think it looks quite interesting altho they ruined the multiplayer last year so maybe its time to ruin both

Its way different from what I'm used to but different doesnt always mean bad so I will keep an open mind. After Conviction I can see it going back to its roots anyway be it either in the form of a sequel or even a prequel to the whole series.

This does involve stealth elements, thankfully it's upgraded so that you can disappear into crowds rather than having to sit in shadows and behind walls like older, probably outdated stealth methods in games.

I thought ubi learnt their lesson with lockdown, because when they changed back to original rainbow six gameplay vegas has been one of the best recieved game this generation. Now they are going from worse (Double agent) to worser.

From that I know you like metal gear. Because its basically the same.

Splinter cell: metal gear and now splinter cell: smackdown

I mean come on, the first mission coming from the water, main gate is locked go through the vents. Daylight stealth missions, silly silly. They might as well just make it a new ip.

That looks awesome to me.

I was never a fan of the original splinter cells to be honest, So the gameplay change may be a good thing for me.
