Im looking to buy a new game and thinking of WoW.

I hear its quite addictive - should i take advantage of not being addicted to it now and not play? Or should i just play?

Decisions decisions.

Although I only enjoyed it for about 2-3 weeks I'd say it's best to avoid. Especially if you're playing with friends and/or you're competitive.

kk look now.

Hellgate > other mmorpg/rpg games > rune escape > final fantasy 1 > being retard > doing nothing > low life bum > WOW

wow scores lower then being retarded wow is worse then any 1987 rpg game even it scores lower then doing nothing and looking at sealing judge your self...

If you're even slightly capable of becoming addicted to things/obsessed with things (think movies, tv series etc) then it will almost certainly hook you.

if you want to play a cartoony styled game which looked like it was designed for children to create "Leet gangs of n00bs" then go for it, but if you want your human life to stay normal then dont go there :)

What is it that so addictive about this game? Ive never even looked twice tbh, from the books cover it looks like a crap game with crap graphics??

Addiction comes from strict but appropriate rules, objectives and rewards, it is absolutely nothing to do with graphics or the setting.

The social aspect is also a huge part of it. The fact that it's a "persistent world" means that if you're not on there gaining experience means someone else is.. essentially you're not using all the potential given to you. It's even worse if you play with IRL friends as it'll be all you talk about and of course you end up extreme competition with them levels wise.

Make Love, Not Warcraft - emmy award-winning south park episode. If ever there was a reason not to touch this p.o.s. - here's a very humourous one.

Thanks for the insight not for me to from the sounds of it, I cant see how that can be addictive, thought to contradict myself, ranking on multiplayer games such as battlefield etc is somthing I have a huge interest in.

Yep. Truth.

Hardly ever speak to one of my past old best mates now due to him always talking to his WoW friends and playing on the game.
