There wouldnt be all the movies about mafia and police corruption if it wasnt true!

Wasnt it goodfellas that was based on a true story?

You realize the Mafia are one of the most crippling forces on Sicily's (and to a lesser extent, Italy) economy? They also stifle local and national democracy. You clearly have no idea how serious the Mafia are when it comes to their business. They aren't just fat cats who murder anyone who looks at them funny, their actions go much further than that.

If you are going by the Godfather films, forget it; those are a joke and a pretty tame Mafia compared to the ones in reality. The real deal you do not want anything to do with. The Mafia is Sicily's biggest problem by far. It is estimated that around 10% of Sicily's GNP goes to the Mafia, and it could be far higher.
 
The godfather might seem tame but when I was saying the goodfellas I was meaning corruption and of course in america.

Not saying its true, but in my eyes theres a lot worse gangsters, like in southern america, militant rebels and of course terrorists.

Plus lets be honest, the mafia put wee sicily on the map.

Just to be clear, I never disagree'd, we had a different expectation on what will happen to him and for whatever reasons. I can totally see and agree your point is valid as you can mine I'm sure.
