*Gears Of War* Thread :o) Game Pics & Performance.

So whats causing some to get bad stuttering and others either don't notice it ( that has happened before ) or no stuttering
 
Got it, installed it, cant play it! :mad:

I keep getting an error saying

'wargame-g4wlive.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close'

Anyone else getting this ??

Ye i'm getting that m8, happens as i'm in the settings screens before i even get to play :(

Just looking into it now, updating drivers, defrag Google :)
 
The stuttering isn't that bad for me. I get a constant 62fps (obviously dips when it stutters). Also the mouse and keyboard combo = win.

God I am so excited.
I can't go home and play till December 14th though :( I am at uni at the moment you see, and my PC is at home :(

Still, when I go home, I will have some more RAM, an EVGA Superclocked 8800 GT 512MB, and copies of Crysis and Gears of War waiting for me..... (I have ordered them - God bless summer jobs and Student Loans :D)
WOOOOOO It is gonna be an amazing Xmas :P

OK seem to have sorted it here Fingers x-d

I kept everything the same drivers, XP, overclock etc but un-loaded windowblinds and the game started ok, i played for the first 5-6 checkpoints then left. No crashes, how wierds that ?
 
Check the Epic forum if your looking for advice - nobodies found any solutions yet. Ive just finished my reformat so I'll get it installed soon and get some pics :) The graphics are better than the 360 I think :)

same error here. loads of reports on epic forums.

it says try cat 7.8's here http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=583169

but sod that tbh and it doesn't seemed to have helped many people
I am on omega 7.10's (as cat 7.10's caused cryisi demo corruption for me) on 1900xt and xp

I immediately thought they didn't look as good (maxed out on 1280) but I haven't gone back to look at them on my 360

Have you guys bought or downloaded? ;)

Loads of people of *ahem* various sites have been complaining that they get app errors then crash outs after replacing certain files... Apologies if you have bought it and you're suffering a legit problem.

edit - by no way is that an attempt to derail or trash thread with talk of iffy sites.
 
Game is running good for me I run the game with vysnc turned on from the Nvidia control panel in game vysnc limits you to 30fps. Don't think SLI is working, not playing with any AA. All other settings maxed.

Game is a bit disappointing the weapons feel weak only 1 hourish in though. Also the view is weird it plays exactly like the console version, even has xbox360 profile creation bit.

what do you mean by windowblinds?

Well I got an online match going with my mate, immediately chose one of those red locust and the detail on the armour just looks insane. Also as I keep asking has anyone played online yet? How many servers have you guys found?
