Hi,

Ive just finished my new build, but i think my temps are a little on the high side. Please could you guys give me some advice, or are these temps ok?

Spec,
Intel bad axe 2
E6700
Tunqi tower 120
4gb ram
corsair 520w
8800gts oc

The CPU is on stock volts and is running at 3.2ghz. (Idle 38, and when running orthos the temps are around 68/70 :(

Thanks

What's your vcore?

And have you used the bare minimum of thermal paste? I would still re-seat the cooler.

Volts are 1.213v thats what cpuz is showing. My friend put the thermal paste on, he know's what hes doing so there should'nt be a problem there. The cooler is a right pain to re-seat. I just dont understand the sudden jump from 37c to 68c :S

Definitely wouldn't expect that from a tuniq, I'm sure something isn't fitted right, you deffo should not be getting up to 70 on load.

Hmm, this is a little stange. When im in BIOS the load temp is 47c. ONLY when i run orthos the temp goes mad..

I would say reseat the cooler. Thats too high a jump. You are aware that in the BIOS the chip isnt under load. Its idle, even a second or 2 idling(sp?) after load means the temp can drop 10-20 degrees easily.
