Stuck on the bit on the train, boss is freakin solid and doesnt help with team ai being crap beyond belief.
Just literally installed but as soon as I start a new game, after the initial cutscene, it constantly turns right, as if I have the mouse hard right.
I have restarted several times and on occasion it will work fine but what gives, has anyone suffered this?
What the hell?!
Just installed and crashes within minutes with a reference to "wargame-g4wlive.exe".
Going to read through this thread now to see if it gets a mention. Any solution?
Keen to sort it as game looks great from what I've been able to see so far.
i get this too, no fix yet unfortunately
LMAO off at the Credits
Can somebody list/post a screenshot of the My Documents/My Games folder tree for GoW under XP please, I got hit by the non-default location bug and have used what was shown on the Vista screenie posted earlier but appear to have no screenshots being saved anywhere, actually, if somebody would confirm that Printscreen is the correct key too
Love the FPS stat recording, geeky![]()
Try right-clicking the shortcut, and then run as administrator. It stopped it crashing for me. Worth a try.
Vivid is my fav too, Intense is like someone just pointed an LED torch in your face!
couldnt do that as im running XP
Anyway i solved the crashing now, turns out it was ATI Tray Tools causing it, if disable it before i load gears it dont crash and i can play. YAY!![]()
Got a joystick/joypad/steering wheel plugged in?
Anyone having problems with surround setups? I have a 4.1 system but I'm only getting stereo.
Edit: No probs sorted it. If anyones wondering....My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Config\WarEngineUserSettings.ini
change:
[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
UseEffectsProcessing=True
DeviceName=Generic Software
to:
[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
UseEffectsProcessing=False
DeviceName=
I'm running XP tooyou can still do it...right click desktop shortcut, click 'run as', then select 'the following user'. I just put my Windows login name and password in - Even tho I'm already logged into the same user, it stops it crashing.
