End of COD4 Question (HUGE SPOILERS - DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME)

The whole game is utterly cinematic. I think the Epilogue was just Soap reliving the greatest moments with his allies in his head once more, because he lost them all at the end (when i saw the Rusky giving captain price CPR my heart fell - he was so utterly charismatic).

i dont know whether to sell cod4 now i have completed the sp?

because there is crysis on friday and i havent tried GoW yet either

An excellent game, loved every minute of the Single Player experience... Haven't enjoyed the SP story line of a game like this for so long, Brilliantly done.

I purchased COD4 and Gears of War on Friday, and after completing COD im now going to continue on Gears of War (have been playing both over the weekend).

On a side note, anyone else having problems getting online with gears of war because i just cant seem to get it to work at all, keeps saying about signing into windows live but ive made an account for it and what not, when i try to login it says there is network problems and such.

Awesome game, who said PC Gaming was dead??! :D

Loved the sniper mission, the style and feel of it was brilliant. Some of it looked virtually photorealistic.

Just finished this game

Most immersive and cinematic gaming experience I've ever had

Some moments really hit me emotionally, like the Paul Jackson bit where your playing his last few moments, and the bit at the end where you're looking around at your team who are pretty much all dead

You really feel like you lose someone you know when a character in that game dies. Even if its not a main character, when one of your squad died it was a bit of a :( moment

10/10 for me, fantastic

Nice little bonus mission at the end too

Yes, they manage to emotionally attach you to the main characters, while keeping the rest of the squad fairly expendable, so you can plug away, without feeling too much remorse at the death of any squad member, but when any of the main characters die it really hits you. Still, hearing "Man down" made me think every time I heard it, especially the last sequence where I heard it 3 or 4 times in a couple of seconds.

And that level in the bomber. That really makes you think about attitudes in modern conflict.

Well the ending was pretty much ruined for me as I managed to encounter a really bizarre bug...

When Zakhaev arrived and came to execute the squad, it appeared that his henchmen killed him then each other, so when Price slid the pistol over to me and I turned back they were all lying dead on the ground and there was a single friendly soldier standing in the middle of them, leaving me with absolutely nothing to do.

Needless to say I was thoroughly confused (and disappointed) by the ending until I asked around and found out what was supposed to happen...

Argh thats a real shame :( Sorry to hear that - it was such an epic moment in the storyline :(

As mentioned, very moving.

I couldn't believe the Jackson death part, must be one of the first times ever that a character you control is killed, and it was really well done.

plus the MP is the most fun I've had in a really long time
COD4 MP > TF2

Excellent job infinity ward!
