I have only played the Crysis demo as opposed to completing Call Of Duty 4 so my vote is going to be slanted a little, but I would say get Call Of Duty 4. It is short but it's the best experience I have had with a single player shooter in a long time and the multiplayer is fantastic.
Its a tough one if you can afford only one. The COD4 single player is on the short side but very good with one of the best missions i've ever played. The multiplayer is excellent with the rank/challenges providing good replay factor.
Crysis however is legendary. I've not heard much on the multiplayer front other than its supposed to be pretty good. If you are one of the people that has to play the newest, most incredible stuff first, then buy it.
Personally i'm going to hold off Crysis for a bit, wait for graphics cards that can handle it on the highest settings and play it how it was meant to be played. I am aware that it could be a long wait
Question is are your a singleplayer game person or multiplayer game person? personally i prefer singleplayer and so i would go for crysis as it aparently lasts 10-15 hours single player which is double CoD4. i loved the singleplayer cod4 it just was a bit short for my liking.
lets just hope if u do decide to get crysis your system (like mine) wont fall over and die when trying to run it.
Having played both Demos, CoD4 wins as the most playable with current hardware. Holding off on Crysis for a month or 2 and (a) it may drop in price and (b) you might be able to play it better with any future hardware upgrades.
