Unfortunately I'm going to be working until 8pm Saturday, (cruelly, I will be making sure several bookies WANs don't fall over), so I'll be hunched over a tranny, sweating buckets (not for the first time) but, unlike that incident in Thailand, I would welcome a shocking revelation, namely a win for Scotland.

Unfortunately it seems our destiny to be part of yet another glorious failure; we will probably draw, finish on 25 points and then watch France and Italy wrap things up next week, it's just no fair, the crying game indeed.

Does any lucky bast have a ticket?

I can't see a general Euro spoilers thread anywhere, but I think this game is big enough to merit a thread of it's own anyway. :) I could be wrong, although I never am.

I reckon they'll do it.

It won't be pretty. It'll be a dirty, scraped, teeth-gnashing, 1-0 sliver of a win, but I reckon they can get it. The italians are in for a nasty reception at Hampden, and I think it'll get to them. Plus, 1-0 wins are the best kind really.

I'm going to miss this :(

Really hope we can pull it off. I honestly can't see us winning but then, like most people, I thought the same thing before both the France games ;)

Even if we don't qualify, this has been some of the best football Scotland have played in recent years. And some of the results along the way have brought some amazing memories, that most fans will not forget for a long, long time!

Here's hoping there's still one big result still to come!

Come on Italy ... as an Englishman I can't bare the thought of the Scots being in the Euros, and us not!

I was somewhat taken aback the other day to hear that Italy has never beaten Scotland at Hampden.

I can see Scotland sneaking a win, but I wouldn't put money on it!

Jokester

I'm not getting my hopes up but if anyone had said at the start of this campaign that we'd have a chance of qualification riding on the final game I'd have laughed in their face. I'd love to see Scotland make it to the Euros again but if not at least we've been a magnificent failure, in the best tradition of every Scottish team worthy of the name over the years. :)

At least Russia will pan the carp out of Israel and we can celebrate England's horrific failure!! That'll be just as good!

See I don't get that, i'm pretty sure 90% of English people will be happy to see Scotland go through.

Actually I reckon 10% will, the other 90% won't give a **** either way.
