nice, playing with 10.4.11 at the mo. Will have to download this asap.

edit: installed it now, had to restart it twice after the update as it was running a bit dodgy.

Done and dusted along with an iPhoto update. Took a couple of minutes to install at reboot.

I feel kinda dirty now for no longer using "pure as released" 10.5.

I'm hoping it fixes the damn ssh X11 forwarding problems and the frequent lock-ups.

I have been using Macs since before they were in colour and this is the worst OS experience yet

Oh well im having serious issues with this update...

Both my Macpro and MBP got this update so i downloaded and installed it...

Now both boot up to the SETUP Assistant Screen and no matter what I try thats as far as I can get...

Glad I havent installed Leopard on my iMac as I seem to have knackered my other 2 macs...

Solution that worked for me

I can honestly say that, that last 10mins resolving that issue has been my worst mac experience so far... A far cry from software issues under Windows that used to take days to resolve.

Indeed, its made me realise im not all that impressed with Time machine...

Before Time Machine I had an external USB2 HDD with a Carbon Copy Clone of my boot drive, I updated it weekly or before installing another new (patches etc), which id have been able to boot off, now with Time Machine i was stuck... Why oh Why isnt the Time Machine backup drive bootable?
