I'm the same. However, the kinetic version (which I prefer) is about £300 so £120 on top of the battery version. If I wasn't such a skint student I'd go for it!Interesting, but I'm a big fan of not having to replace the battery and re-seal the watch every few years. My current watch (a fairly cheap citizen eco-drive) has been serving me for 5/6 years, without having to replace the battery.
One advantage of the MTM watch is that it recharges, and does so on a little stand, so hopefully I won't need to worry about sending it back/taking it to a jewellers any time soon.

A good quality battery should last a few years and it shouldn't be that much of a problem replacing it.
