Hi guys i am building three new machines for a friends business, i posted last week about the spec.

The spec is:

Abit IP35-E
Intel Quad core
8GB OCR memory
500Gb western digital HDD
Saphire HD 2600 Pro (Pci Express)
DVD rw

i have installed everything but when i turn it on it all powers up, then powers down then powers up fully but with no graphics???? I have connected all the power cables except one which is called ATX4P1 which says it is an auxilary power source for devices added on PCI express slots??

Does this need to be connected???

ace

there is a third

same problem guys took out all but one stick of ram, disconnected dvd drive and same thing happened it started up but no graphics?????

i have tried all three and they are exactly the same???

Can you try another graphics just in case this one is DOA, tried different VGA/DVI cable or monitor.

You do have the 4 or 8 pin cable plugged in by the CPU! (just thought I double check ;))

Any error codes come up on the motherboard or beep codes through the speaker.

i have tried a different graphics card but still the same thing and i have tried two different monitors (CRT- analog adaptor) i have had the 8 pin cable plugged in and i also tried the 4 pin as the manual said it would work but it recommended the 8 pin!

would it have anything to do with the third power adaptor that has something to do with PCI express????

I'm running the Pro version and got the third power supply plugged in, but I thought this was only if your using all PCI / Express slots to give extra power if needed.
Give it a try it can only do good :).

Edit: What power supply are you using, can you try a different PSU.

both the red and green light is on, on the motherboard?? is this normal

plugging that other connector in did nothing

Red and green lights are normal, showing the correct voltages are present.

I'm beginning to wonder if the board is faulty or cpu!

Only thing I can suggest is try different cpu and power supply, and test external to the case on a desk, some one had similar problems the other did this and it worked.

i messed around there and found it out to be a single stick of ram that was causing the problem, all machines are working fine but when i put this particular stick in it causes them not to show anything.

Will OCUK take back a single stick or will i have to return a pair????

Excellent news, pleased you got them working :).

Send them a webnote, seems daft send both back when only 1 is faulty.
