Your next car?

New Civic Type R isnt very good - I spent an hour driving one.

Anyway, my next car. It'll be either an E39 M5, an E92 335i Sport or an E55 AMG.

But I'm currently loving mine so much I don't really want to change it yet.

I change my mind every 5 minutes at the moment.

Was pretty much set on an Integra, but then 4WD, turbo, and jap keeps tempting me so too much..

Too much choice.

Aye, I did read your review mate.. but I think I will have to atleast give it a try, then if I decide I cant live with it i'll go for something else.. perhaps one of the older shaped ones or a BM.

But with all the bells and whistles 22k isnt that bad I suppose?

Not getting a new car till I am 21-22, but should be going to get one of the following:

-S2000 04 plate+ , In Black with Red/Black interior *Dribbles*
-Civic Type R in Either Black or Red with as much goodies as possible
-Subaru of some sort - just looking into these...after having amazing ride out yesterday :D
-Audi S3 (new shape)

If it's in the next year or two a deisel Xantia.

If my Crudmobile lasts till I can save up for a proper car I'll be looking at V5 Seat Toledoes (hard to find), Fiat Panda 100hp (I think I'll find it too noisy), MX5 (probably too expensive) or a BMW 5 series (I'd never get a pay rise again).

Something boring. I'm done with wasting money on cars, for now. Enjoying living in the City and spending my money on going out lots, rent, and council tax/bills.

Once I settle down then I might consider something a bit more fun. I'm only young so want to enjoy living as much as possible with my friends. I'm always going to be able to drive. :)

nice to hear i am probably going to be looking at a S14a 1998 - 1999 checking pistonheads almost hourly.

Theres a nice one on autotrader 7 miles from me with 18,500 miles on it, full cream leather interior five quid short of £7000. If you *cough* wire me the money i'll *cough* buy it for you.

Well, with an induction kit & exhaust upgrade you'll get a nice extra punch :)

One of my shocks went a few years ago so replaced all the suspension and shocks, put an induction, exhaust and boost controller on it... Nice :)

Obviously with the age of it now, it's probably not a lot more powerful than when she was new... But she's lovely to drive... Really predictable rear end (in the dry)...

It doesn't really have all the bells and whistles though and the stuff it does have feels cheap. It's a flawed car.

What about compared to the one before it? not the same for the looks.. but I suppose from what they were saying you can get a decent type R for half the price.. suppose it will be a case of trying both.. not too clued up on Hondas.

The one before it was a proper Type R. You got a seat, a steering wheel and some electric windows. The rest of the car was in the way it drove. It was a proper hot hatch.

This new one is just... a mess. They've stuffed it with kit most hot hatch buyers dont want, so instead it tempts people who do care about kit, who then find the build quality is crap and the ride is awful, and they've blunted the hardcore edge for those previous Type R fans.

Fail Honda, Fail.

Put it this way - I do not intend to spend an awful lot more than the price of a Type R on my next car. But look at two of the cars I've mentioned.

Hmmm, Honda Civic Type R or an E55 AMG/BMW M5?

Over on the owners club forum there some going for about £4000-5000... Mind you they obviously have A LOT more milleage!

Cheers Fox.

Might look at a 3 Series as well, one of the Y/04 Era ones...

Something Japanese and Fast

When? all depends if I'm willing to cough up the value of the car for insurance now or wait till I'm 21 (Currently 19)

Bonus in April...we shall see ;)

See thats what it is, I want something Jap next.. having had the Mini for a year, the novelty has certainly worn off, I love my car but I want something that will rip my face off.

Teg/Civic or as I said the BM if I dont fancy either of them.

Standard bar Eibach springs & Strut brace. Think its because of the low miles, he'll probably take 6250/6500.

but i'm looking at getting a new Shape Civvy Type R in that Milano Red they do.

Why not just type Civic? Its got the exact same amount of letters as "Civvy" so your not really saving time unlike when people say scoob:confused:
