Where do you work?

I work for the U.Ks biggest electrical specialist. Begins with MA, ends with LIN and has a P in the middle. Currently as a Sales Team Leader, but have assisted in the opening at two new stores in the past two weeks. Cheshire Oaks and Worcester. Currently working in an unopended store in the west midlands, due to open on the 1st dec, so making sure everything runs smoothly.

Can honestly say i love the job :D

What a little world this is, I too work the above mentioned.....for the last 7 years..........:)

Nope :p I was kinda hoping someone else may be from GC but no joy..

I used to be head of IT for a company that used Frontier, who were then Global Center when they got bought by Global Crossing but that was near 10 years ago.

Now I am senior project manager for the server team at a company thats only real competitors are Google and Microsoft but whos share price is being hammered at the moment.

Can! You! Guess! Who! That! Is!? :D

IT Technician, Seconary school

I spend most of my day sorting issues and getting everything working as it should do with our servers, playing with group policys, DNS issues etc, only completely redid the entire network in the summer so still fixing the small issues remaining from that, the latest being caused by having to change the primary domain controller and get everything onto a different subnet behind a firewall so that the rest of the south west grid schools cant access us like they can now >_<

fun fun :)

Instrument Technician

I work for a small company called Endoscan Ltd that's been going for just over 20 years. Company consists of the MD, the technical director, 3 skilled hands-on employees (one of which is me), an apprentice, a part timer, a cleaner and a salesman.

We produce industrial endoscopes for varying applications. They can be a right sod to manufacture, but the work is almost always varied and can be rather challenging. It's an interesting and very specialised field. We aim for the niche market where there is less competition from the big guns such as Olympus. I'll have been there 7 years come April 2nd next year

I was a Draughtsman for one of the UK's largest refrigeration contractors.
However, currently I am mostly being redundant... just before Christmas, thanks ex-work, that really made my year, what's left of it :(
They couldn't even get my redundancy payments right either, I've had to chase them at every turn for what I'm legally entitled to
