Yes! A TFT with no ghosting. Trying to wean myself off CRT's but my first TFT (LG 226 WTQ) produced very obvious 'ghosting' in games. The Iiyama has none that I can detect whatsoever (in TF2 and Timeshift so far). Delighted.

Pros:
  • No ghosting (afterglow/shadowing/whatever you want to call it)
  • Black bezel (I prefer it to the LG's silver one)
  • Lovely colours out of the box

Cons:
  • No software (may not need any - see above)
  • Stand only tilts up-and-down, does not swivel left-right like LG (it does slide on pads though)

I was starting to think it was just me being too sensitive to 'ghosting' on TFT's coming from CRTs but on the Iiyama there is absolutely no ghosting that I can see. Colours look great and I haven't even callibrated it yet. Very happy camper. :)

Stupid question but after noticing that the sm2022 does tilt fully verticle I was wondering does this monitor? By that I mean so its looking straight foward

Yes it does. It only tilts up and down, not left to right, although it does slide left-right easily on its pads.

After more testing, I have noticed a small amount of backlight bleed at the very top of the screen, that is not evident on the LG or the Dell I use in work. It's minimal and I never noticed it during games or other normal usage, it was only when I viewed an all-black screen, there's a small amount of backlight bleed at the very top, more towards the centre of the screen.

Even after finding it on a pure black screen, I still don't notice it in games, though, so I don't mind. Just so glad there's no ghosting after the LG - TF2 looks so beautiful again!

I'll give it a go when I get home from work.

Take some of the screen displaying a black screen (Dead pixel buddy or somthing similar) in a dim lit or dark room,.....turn the flash off on the camera and lets see if it has any backlight bleed !! ;) Cheers

Now as you can clearly see from these photos . . . I need a new camera:

Where's the 'Manage attachments' button?

Sorry, I probably haven't been a member of this one long enough or something.
And a couple of the photos actually came out ok :(

If you upload them to a website (photobucket or whatever) then link the image from there that would work :)

Aye, just register as a user for Photobucket.com or Imageshack then upload them to your album, then copy and paste the IMG address of the pics into the message you create on the forums, simple :)

ok never done that before. Tell you what, if I don't go to the pub today, I'll do it after work. Of course, it is Friday so, it may be Saturday - after Football Focus!

Very interested in this, i was looking at the LG226WTQ but like normal some people say it's amazing yet others say don't touch it!

This Iiyama might have just come into the equation, but does it beat the Samsung SM226BW?!

I think the reason they're catching peoples attention is you get a guarenteed S-panel, so it'll be at least as good as the best 226bw with zero chance of the "samsung lottery". They don't seem to be great lookers though :( curious to see some pictures in the "flesh" so to speak!
