Where I work too, since they bought fibrenet it's been a nightmare, engineers seem to be repatching our connections randomly.

as for me, I'm an infrastructure architect for an ISP in the city, currently building a couple of 100TB+ storage platforms. long hours and lots of stress but the money's excellent and I enjoy it if I'm honest.

Anyway, I (still) work at Millbrook Proving Ground in the Safety department, mainly on the HyGE Sled, but often in the Crash Laboratory and the Airbag Sensor Immunity testing area.

Basically spend every day trashing cars, and get paid for it

Yeah tell me about it. We had an issue with a 100mb link originally from Fibrenet and got put though to the GX NOC and they had no idea how to trace it let alone fix it.
