Got X2 PC towers connected to a KVM, just wondering if its possible to view the other desktop on my main vista desktop which is what I use most off the time? Other pc is running XP pro, would remote desktop work?

Ok cheers, guessing I would only need something basic tho. What can VNC do that win remote desktop can't?

How so? I've always found the RDP experience to be much better than VNC...

I've always used RDP does all I've ever wanted and it's free

Generally speaking its more flexible - it can connect to and from more than just Windows.

Obviously not an issue in this particular case but thats mainly why its used - plus its been round for ages; a lot longer than RDP.

I prefer it since it's an open protocol; I can get a client and server for most any system and use it seamlessly. If you find that you prefer RDP that's just fine as well. I merely brought it up as an option to consider.
