FSB (QDR)

what is this QDR???

when overclokiong i found the CPU to run at 2.13GHZ and the mutiplyier is at 8 so the FSB = 2.13GHZ / 8 which is 266Mhz but the FSB QDR is at 1066 Mhz. so i guessing the 1066 is 266 x 4 but i dono why it is.....

also the begginer guiide says to increase FSB by 5Mhz each time so should i increase by 5 or 20Mhz due to 5x4=20.

because its quad pumped just a way of running the fsb higher, AMD double theres.

so the orginal FSB speed goes into CPU and the rest of components like Ram gets affected by the 4x FSb???

No, I think you can set it to what you want on the AMD machines - it's the Hypertransport link no?

its a Intel CPU and Nvidia chipset on MB
