Your next car?

Next car for me will be a Gen 3 RX7. As long as my MR2 doesn't pack in for a couple of years that is.

*touch wood*

Now decided that im gonna get an R56 Cooper toward the end of next year me thinks.. insurance is reasonable and they're really nice cars imo... not sure if im gonna get a Cooper D or a Cooper yet though :)

No, really, just no. Don't get an even bigger loan to buy a car virtually identical to the one you have :)

I keep looking at a change but can't bring myself to get rid of my ZS180. It's the late model with the better looks and nice wheels. It's only 3 years old but worth about 6k tops, plus my time and money in doing soundproofing and sorting out rubbish factory audio system. It's quick too thanks to a few small tweaks.

Whatever does eventually come next will have a turbo. It might be petrol but probably diesel. Revving the nuts of petrol engines and getting poor economy is so last year!

Fiat have the right idea with their new Bravo (nice looking car too), a 1.4T petrol with the power of a decent 2.0. I think Audi are following suit too, noticed a few small turbo petrol engines appearing in the A3 range.

Nicer looking though, a guy at Mini still rates my car at around 8.5-9k so once I get the loan down to that next year im selling it on... Plus last time I checked, I dont need this places approval on my choice of car..

No,You don't. Which is fair enough ,if thats your view, but, your above comment just makes you look a bit daft tbh - you started this thread in the first place - don't be surprised if you get comments back! ;)

You think it'll still be worth that by the time you get the loan down?

I have to agree with others comments, if you're having a change don't just buy a more expenisve version of the car you already have. Give it a few weeks and you'll have forgotten why you even changed it, you'll just owe more money ;)

Yup, thats for a years time too... for a one its quite high specced (pepper pack and a few other gubbins) and the guy works for a Mini Dealer so I trust him when he said that..

Loans! Err! The only load I've ever had is my mortgage!

I suspect now with kids in the equation, the next car will = loan (or more likely bigger mortage)

So you're still in negative equity then?!

Why not just go for a higher specced 05 Cooper if you want to keep in the Mini family? Shouldn't cost you too much to change.

Thinking about ordering a car through the works car scheme that has been set up. Basically the Volkswagen group will loan me a new car every six months, and I pay for the car out of my wages.

Leon TSI FR for 93 quid a month is tempting
