Since it’s snowing, I’ll also mention the somewhat off-topic Toronto winter swimming club that Roo and I run (in the water with me in these pictures from yesterday is Allana). Now, it’s not specifically “modification specific” but I believe that it is generally inside the BME-ethos of self-actualization, self-discovery, and individualism combined with connectivity. Extended winter swimming (not just cold water dousing) gives you similar results as many other forms of body related ritual — a deep sense of awareness of ones own body, and an increased understanding of your relationship with that body and how that body interacts with the environment around it; a small step toward enlightenment… or at least health if you don’t want to buy my tales!

I like tattoos and plan to get one in a few years time (when I've got the body for it) but to me that looks pants and like other have said, looks like a 5 year old with felt pens has drawn over his hands.
But meh, I don't expect everyone to like what I'm going to get, and not everyone likes my mates one, but he likes it, and doesn't care what others think. Which is what I'm sure the owner of that tatt thinks as well

Oh god that's horrible! In some of the pictures that tattoo makes her look like she has a skin disorder :/
I don't mind tattoos, I even want one myself, but even so I think that is a bad tattoo.
The GH tattoo is comedy.
I would happily bet he's better off than you are. With tattoos as well, does that make you a total failure?
So how popular is that winter swimming thing?
I seem to remember they had 20-30 people at each swim last winter.

for those asking about his sleeve, it started with a tattoo of 'Frank' about ten years ago:

I've 'known' him online for about eight years now; regularly send emails back and forth and so on. Share ideas et cetera. I used to peruse his site(s) for a few years before getting in touch. We have a few shared interests (other than the obvious) like shonky old kit cars.
