how do all this is my first post so be gentle.
ok got my cpu water cooled planing on doing my 2 8800 next but should i do the north bridge while i am at it or not.i do not want to do south bridge just in case they get 3 cards working with sli,and if i do water cool the nb how easy is it to take all the pipes off the striker extreme any help would be great .
thanks andy

Wouldn't bother with the North bridge to be honest. Would become restricted

I agree if you are cooling your CPU and intend to cool x2 8800's adding a further n/b block would restrict the flow. Also the heat generated alone by two 8800's in the loop.

For example if i were to cool CPU, NB, SB, Over clocking that would be on one loop using a 120.3

The x2 8800's would be on a seperate loop say a 120.2

To be honest you have little to gain watercooling the N/B.

Stick with CPU and Graphic blocks using a PA120.3

Snip
just in case they get 3 cards working with sli,
thanks andy

The striker extreme does'nt support Tri sli it does support Interface (SLI™) technology that allows two graphics processing units (GPUs) in a single system

The 700 series motherboards (updated 680i) due for release shortly will support Tri Sli as well as pci2

thanks for the input guys think i will stick to just doing the cards.if i use a 360 rad for them will it be ok with just 2 fans on it, going to have 2 loops 1 for cpu which has got 360 rad with 3 fans and the the cards on a 360 with 2 fans.i have a ufo case so was going to put rad on top with the 2 fan holes are.
then as for tri sli i know thats not possible yet just wanted sli with 2 cards and run 2nd monitor which is a no go at the moment.

this is what i have done so far

As a suggestion Andy,

Use the the 360 with two fans for the CPU as you will be cooling this only. The temps will still be extremely low. Over clocking head room will still be available.

Are you using A Q6600 SCLAR (95w)?

The 360 with 3 fans use to cool both 8800's. If you decide to over clock the 8800's you will have more than ample cooling allowing OC head room.

Are the 8800's GTX? or GT's

Which blocks will you be using on the 8800's and which CPU block out of interest

ok thanks for that, got dtek on cpu qx6700 oc 3.5 and stable and will be getting dden blocks for the 8800 gts will try and get some pics up as soon as i work out how to do it:D
thanks again

Glad to help Andy,

The danger dens blocks are good

Look forward to your build log

Nice over clock as well.

Out of interest what are the idle/load temps and CPU voltage?

Danger den has a step by step guide to installing the G/C Block

ok temps on cpu = 26-30 idle and 38-42ish load voltage is 1.4 fsb 1233 muti of 11 i think not sure now will check when pc has a turn on me lol
as soon as i get this pic thing working will get some pics of settings and pc sorted

not long moved house just trying to do house up and pc at the same time just waiting on doing my computer room now so i can tidy it all up here.the pics are a few weeks old now changed a few things on there but will do new pics when i put 2nd loop in.
