weekend football spoilers thread 24/25 Nov

I had a bad feeling about this when it was told that there would be no Rooney, Ronaldo, or Vidic.

rooney's injured i take it, ronaldo just rested? vidic rested?

i don't think its fair to call them a two man team. they can score if one or the other is playing aswell, don't have to have both :p

in all seriousness, they are missing scholes who is that fabregas/gerrard run in the box and make more space type of player, while carrick, anderson, hargreaves are more hang back and control the midfield styles.

but you have to say, Anelka, he would be on stunning form with his goal scoring form at man u/arsenal/chelsea so far. but to do that at bolton, without, honestly, all that much help. a bunch of his goals have been stunning freekicks or running onto balls, beating defense, beating keeper. he really has become absolutely brilliant, think he might be snapped up in January, and imagine quite a number of clubs going for him. tbh all the top 4 could do with a striker of his quality.

Bolton 1-0 Man Utd, full time.

How did we not score? Oh well one positive is that we have got someone who can take a great free kick in Owen Hargreaves. Last time we lost we won 8 out the next nine in the league dropping two points to Arsenal when we drew the other week. So positives can be drawn hopefully we can get some form for christmas time when there's plenty of games.

I'm sorry, Nani is just not good enough, he's like Saha. No heart, no passion and no determination.
Anderson comes on the pitch and we start playing football, odd that.

Ferguson will never learn, you need your best players on. Let them do the job THEN take them off.

i honestly don't know why you didn't buy an out and out striker, tevez, he's been good, but you still don't have a fit and reliable out and out RVN type player, and haven't since he left. to not buy a replacement when he left, weird, to not get one by now, ridiculous tbh.

rooney's never been a notoriously fit player, saha, i think he's great tbh, but not exactly reliable when it comes to fitness, and he probably hasn't been match fit for 2 years due to injuries, more like 3 years i would guess.

Good day Liverpool won and Utd lost:D:D

Highlight of the liverpool game is lucas levia. Really impressed with his passing. Hardly put a foot wrong in the games he's played.

the holiday fixtures are going to make or break some team imo

that is something that wenger does, and it does my head in. rather than rest players against some crap side(sheffield), watch it go completely wrong, then bring on players in a high stress situation where they are chasing a game and running overly hard to break down a team sat behind the ball. play them from the start, best team is no match for them, get a 2 goal lead, take them off 10 mins into second half. its MUCH better that way around, and you don't throw away points. we rested players in those bottom 5 team games last year, only to lose a bunch of them, while we played strongest team and did fantastically against the top 4 and top half of the table.

if did help that newcastle decided to not play a right wing against you. i mean that literally, not figuratively, as in smith literally wasn't there for the first half, i guess figuratively to, he was there but he was so crap in the 2nd half it made no difference anyway :p

lol, it would be suicide to hire mcclown for at least a year. no club can take him without major problems from the fans because they all just hate him right now. might get a lowly championship side job sometime soon, you'd have to be mental to hire him right now. thats why he's an idiot, he knew he was new to managing(relatively) and simply wasn't good enough to win a cup for england which if he didn't, would result in him being fired. too early in his career for it.

bah, i can't find a updated table on bbc, sky, i want to see the pretty numbers with my team up top :p

EDIT:_ good old score centre(when it chooses to load), city only 1 point behind man u :o

Score center is crap, I want to find the assist etc from today, can anyone one recommend somewhere else other than sky for this info?

Dissapointed Wigan and Reading didnt hold out, would've been an excellent incentive for us, but great result for us today with man u dropping points.

Torres finishing is off because of the break, but he'll get back into it.

I know where your coming from but our best line up is Rooney with Tevez up front. Rooney is injured so next best option is Saha. If you're gonna play 2 up front. Alternatively it may have been better to start with 5 in the midfield with Anderson supporting Tevez from midfield with giggs and nani on the wings and the carrick and hargreaves in the middle. But then again I couldn't want to say i'm better than the most successfull Englsih club manager.

I am so glad we won 7-1 today, we fielded strongest side in a long while it seems, to be honest Tim Cahill is underated midfielder(he could get in any premiership 1st team easy i reckon) and since he's came back we been doing great.

Premiership good this season when you check the table....lot of teams so close together on points.:D

anyone managed to watch it, is it great finishing or domination, posession seems fairly even.

Just got back from it.. We just played really well today, put together some good moves and just generally played good football for once! :D

Good that AJ got a goal on his comeback, will give him a bit of a confidence boost..
