*****THE OFFICIAL***** MASS EFFECT THREAD

I barely qualify as a casual 360 gamer, so my opinion won't count for much, but this game (along with Forza 2) made spooging so much cash on the Xbox worthwhile. Graphically it's extremely impressive, the plot seems solid enough and the Mass Effect universe seems very well realised.

Sure there are some minor gripes. At heart I'm a PC gamer and will probably never get totally used to a joypad. I also find seeing all the weapons on my characters back quite annoying, especially as I only ever use a pistol and shotgun. The final grievance is the loading times between areas. I've grown to hate lifts as a result!

There have been no crashes so far, though I thought for a short while that I'd got caught in the railings, but managed to extricate myself.

Well I'd better get back to pushing that Renegade bar further in to the red. :D
 
this is deffo a must buy for KOTOR fans.

I'm about 10 hours in and just left the citedal lol. Its very immersive! I havent even done any of the main quest outside the citedal yet, just focusing on all the side quests I got at the citedal,

I can see this taking a very long time to go through, as there are lots of planets to visit in each system.

I also love reading through the codex entries, you can see a lot of time and thought has gone into making this game.

Has anyone noticed the guy who reads primary enteries in the codex sounds just like the guy in crackdown? lol

Huge kotor fan me, so i think ill buy it:)
 
This is one of the best games I have played in a long time and has me hooked as much as KOTOR did.

Just on the moon and the view of the earth in the black sky is very cool :)
 
im about 18 hrs in just done Feros and now nearly at the end of Novaria. I must say this game is amazing!. Playing through as a Vanguard loving the Bionic abilities and all the various upgrades for guns etc.

Only Thing that annoys me is a few of the mako missions where it can lag to hell :(

It seems the lag and slow loading textures is due to the transfer/access of textures etc from the DVD as I can hear it going mental when it loads new scenery.

Its a shame you cant have the option to pre load some of this to the HDD, hopefully they might introduce this into a patch

Yeah it is him (check Keith David on imdb.com) hes done quite a few games including Saints Row, Halo 2 and Halo 3 and Mass Effect

Only way I have seen it is on my save games, just save where you are, then go back to save/load again and it'll say as you highlight the save
