Anyone else really looking forward to this? Provided they do it right then it could be awesome. Due out sometime next year, from the preview in OXM it looks pretty good so far.

This and Brutal Legend are my most anticipated games for early next year :)

Could it be better than the c64/spectrum version most people played:

does indeed look good and the storyline could be good due to it having the original writers and that. just hope the developers are up to it
 
One of the few games to have 'speech' originally... well, sort of static noise / speech :D
Presumably they'll have improved that in this release :D

Absolutely!

Who remembers listening to the C64 blaring the title music out, and pressing SPACE at the right time for it to shout "GHOSTBUSTERS!"

I remember this game well, it was actually rubbish then as well though! As were nearly all movie tie games. I think the worse ever was an ET game for the Atari. I have heard they had to buy a landfill site to put the unsold carts in!

I remember Ghostbusters two on the Atari ST which was even worse than the speccy version! Mind you, the film was dire too.
 
I got to fight zuul once after many hours of playing it.
It was insanely difficult and i never bothered with it again after that.

I used to play this on my mates C64! It was awesome.
I'm also surprised Activision use the same logo :).
 
I'd love it if the new version was as good as the C64 version, I don't see it happening but you never know :D
Played the C64 Ghostbuster game in the summer funnily enough, had to drag it out for an afternoon :)
 
just looked at serveral game sites and they have this on pre-order for 2nd September 360 & PS3

What is the lead console for it?
