I was having a little look on a suppliers website of what we had to look forward to for the rest of the year and was a little disapointed.

Singstar and Drakes Fortune for the PS3 seem to be the only thing worth buying for the PS3, theres nothing at all of note for the 360, and the Umbrella Chronicles for the wii.

I hate this time of the year.

Thank god.

I've only just sractched the surface of Mass Effect and Assassins Creed has only had 15 minutes so far.

I've yet to play COD4, Orange Box, MoH Airborn, Kane & Lynch, Blacksite or either F.E.A.R. game.

I feel swamped as it is, don't need any more!

I think its actually not turned out to be that great a year for games. COD4 was great, Mass Effect when i get round to it will be great, browsing my collection last night, nothing jumped out at me to play (on the 360 anyway).

I was thinking that yesterday when trying to figure out my GoTY nominations. For all the talk of it being the best year for gaming ever, I was hard pushed to think of many truly outstanding titles.

I've bought 7 great games in the last month alone, I'm pretty glad the games glut is over to be honest. By the time they start coming out in Jan/Feb again I might have finished some of the ones I've bought.

I might end up buying CoD4 over the Xmas period however I'm not sure. My initial reason for avoiding it was because it felt more multiplayer orientated, with it's extremely short SP campaign. Anyone who mentions "yet but do it in vet mode" will get a slap...

Having said that, I'll probably replay all my old titles to get achievements I missed out on. Mass Effect, and Assassins Creed's achievements should be more than enough to keep me occupied.

I played it on the second difficulty and found it great, it was a fantastic game from beginning to end. I dont find achievements add any replay value to me, i have actively tried to disassociate myself from achievements as i found they were hampering enjoyment of other systems.

I suppose if you don't have to pay for games then its a bit disappointing the glut is over, but for those honest people here then it's a bit of a relief as there is games I totally missed out on, which will be picked up in the future :)

Very true. Not paying for games ruins the enjoyment of them somewhat and if you are completely spoilt for choice you won't play any of them.

I pay for games Mr Men, i spend far more money on games than you do, shall we compare game collection pictures tonight?

Why cause you had to edit your mistake and now look silly :D

But if it's a reaction you are seeking then need to bait much more than this :) RTM

I've got a lot of games to catch up on, I have yet to even buy cod4, a new football game (because pes is useless this year), mass effect, assassin's creed etc etc

Good old birthday money :)

I was getting into Assassins creed, came home from work and my daughter had continued my game, which kind of blew that for me without starting again, i hate not continuing from the same spot.

I really am looking forward to Mass Effect, but i want to finish off Kane and Lynch before i pop the disk in.

I find myself going between Guitar Hero 3 and something else, i love guitar hero, its the best £60 ive spent this month (not including hookers).
