True. I suppose if someone was saying downgrade to an 8600GT until February that would be dumb, especially since this isn't even official word they're coming out then. Personally I just wanted to reclaim £100 from my GTX and put it toward my D9E fund. That soon went on RAM though.Well it does depend on the context. Swapping a 8800GTX for a 8800GT is hardly a downgrade.

Some of us are extremely lucky to know people just like that.I'd love to know someone desperate enough for a GTX they would pay enough to mean I didn't make a huge loss on it since getting it![]()
Because the big launch of the next generation cards is never exciting...

Perhaps, but it will still have aliasing all over the placeNope. Just the you should be able to play Crysis on max setting @ 1600 x 1200 at a playable frame rate.![]()

Will it just be the same sort of card like the 8800GT but with more shaders, higher clockspeeds and a dual-slot cooler?
Ahh good stuff the plan has fell into place, sitting tight with my GTX for one of these.
I'm throwing a pinch of salt at this though![]()
Hopefully will be released before my EVGA step-up program cut off date (8800GT ordered Sunday, dispatched today).
Ngh!
Makes 8800 GTS G92's now kinda pointless really if this is true, don't really wanna spend £200 ish in on a card for 3 months which would then be worth £100. Bloody Nvidia!
