Weringo's a Liverpool fan, i would berate Gerrard if he was up for an award, so that doesnt count ;)

Not really, he more or less single handedly won Real the league last season. Imagine him in that Utd side to finish off those chances that Tevez and Rooney missed today :eek:

Heres a question for United fans though: If ManU could get RvN back, for say, £15-20m, would you a) want him back b) pay that much for him?

Wouldn't say Tevez is much faster than RvN and RvN is easily the better finisher. Imo RvN in your side would be the closest thing to the perfect front 3 atm, still the best finisher around imo.
 
Do you really think Fergie would even entertain the idea of bringing him back?

My ideal strikers are Tevez/Rooney and A.N.Other who would be happy to bench it for most of the time
 
Of course he wouldn't just a thought of how well he'd do playing with Ronaldo and Rooney. I know he played with them before but they weren't the same players as they are today, well Ronaldo isn't.

You wouldn't take Eto'o, Henry, Drogba, Torres, Ibrahimovic or Villa over either Rooney or Tevez?

no i wouldn't want RvN back personally, i rate him highly and believe he deserves any accolades he gets, he showed at Madrid last season he is absolutely top class but i prefer the mobility we show up front now, if i could pick any striker currently it would be an eto'o or a drogba because they are more mobile than RvN, though as you say when it comes to finishing i can't think of many if any better.
 
RvN is a fantastic goalscorer but i wouldnt take him back. Man Utd traditionally dont seem to perform with out and out goalscorers. We tend to play more flowing football when the goals are shared amongst all the attacking players ala Eric, Hughes, Giggs and Kanchelskis in the past and the forward players we have now. Good as RvN was for us he kinda messed up the way we normally played when he was the focal point of all our goalscoring threat.

I'd certainly (and obviously) take Torres ahead of Tevez and they way he's going i'd proberly take him over Rooney too.

Ive been pleseantly suprised as to how well and how quickly he's adapted, the way he's playing he's possibly the form striker around atm and is only going to get better.

that's fair enough, he's done extremely well for you so far. Personally i wouldn't take him over either yet but that's just my opinion and as i mentioned in the other thread obviously i'm going to be a little biased against your players.
